Conference Highlights/Overview

Dear Work Exchange Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in being a work exchange participant for the 2008 International Career Development Conference in Los Angeles, California, on November 5-9, 2008. As the conference operates with a limited professional staff, your assistance with the various tasks is much appreciated. The assignments will fall when the conference is in progress. This cannot be avoided, so if your intent is to participate in all the presentations, you may not want to participate in the Work Exchange program. Work assignments are determined by the needs of conference facilitation.

Work Exchange Application Information:
  • The ICDC registration fee is waived for all accepted Work Exchange participants.
  • A $90 Work Exchange fee is required at the time you submit your Work Exchange Application online. This fee is non-refundable should you cancel for any reason.
  • Work exchange participants who wish to attend PDI’s, or the Global Issues Forum must also register and pay separately on the ICDC Registration Form.
  • There are a limited number of Work Exchange positions available. Once we have received a suitable number of applications, we will cease to accept applications.
  • Please consider this a 8.5 hour part-time job (7.0 work hours + 1.5 hours training). Your scheduled hours will be split into shifts that will be assigned anytime throughout the main conference program, November 7 - 9, 2008, including a 1.5 hour mandatory training/orientation meeting.
  • All work exchange applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Due to the difficulty in obtaining visas from some countries, we are unable to accept international participants as Work Exchange Applicants.

We look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,

2008 Work Exchange Coordinator
